Dates and deadlines for winter 2024/2025 at the Graduate School

Please take note of the following important dates and deadlines:

The Graduate School administration will be closed from 20 December 2024 at 14:00 until 2 January 2025 at 10:00. No case processing will occur during this period.
If you wish to have your thesis sent to the assessment committee before the closing days, you must submit it to the Graduate School by 12:00 noon on 11 December 2024.
If your thesis submission date falls between 21 December 2024 and 1 January 2025, you may submit your thesis on 2 January 2025 instead

Prescreening:

If you wish to have your PhD thesis pre-screened before the closing days, please send it to the Royal Library by 12:00 noon on 17 December 2024.

Please only send one merged PDF file including thesis and papers.

Note that only students who have completed the “Responsible Conduct of Research 2” course are eligible for pre-screening.

Oral defence:

If you wish to conduct the oral defence on 2 January 2025 to 15 January 2025 (both days included), you must submit the form "Information regarding the PhD defence and the PhD certificate" on 16 December 2024 at the latest.

In this section, you will find information about the final stages of your PhD programme.

Be aware that two months before submitting your PhD thesis, you must nominate an assessment committee for the assessment of your thesis and the PhD defence.

You and your principal supervisor nominate the committee by submitting the form "Nominating an Assessment committee".
