Courses

A PhD student at SUND must complete courses corresponding to a minimum of 28 ECTS and a maximum of 35 ECTS credits. 

Mandatory courses

RCR courses
The Graduate School offers two mandatory courses in Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR). There are different requirements depending on the time of your enrollment. Read more about the courses in Responsible Conduct of Research.

Introduction course
The Graduate School of Health and Medical Sciences offers an introduction course for new PhD students at SUND. The course will be mandatory for all new PhD students at SUND from January 2025, and it will be a requirement to complete the course within the first 6 months. To get the best outcome from the course The Graduate School highly recommends that you complete the course within the first 1-2 months after your enrolment. Read more about the introduction course.
