Nominating an assessment committee

All PhD students have to submit their nominated assessment committee in PhD Planner.

What to do?
  • 90 days before the submission date of your PhD thesis, the Graduate School will open the task "Awaiting nomination of ACM by PhD student" in PhD Planner and send you an email regarding this

Things you need to do before you start your application:

  • Obtain a CV and publication list for an assessor if he/she does not have the title "professor" or "associate professor"
  • Make sure that the nominated members are aware of the scope of the assessment process, and that they consent to be on the committee

Start your application:

  • Log in to PhD Planner with your UCPH user account and password
  • Find the open task under "My tasks"
  • Click on "send to principal supervisor", provide the required information and submit
Help to fill in two specific fields in PhD Planner:
  1. 'Email regarding the suggested chairperson, assessor representing Danish research and assessor from abroad':
    - Please state a work email. Private emails will not be accepted

  2. 'Link to profile on a website regarding the assessor representing Danish research and assessor from abroad':
    - Please insert a link to the personal profile at the place of employment
What happens next?
  • When you have submitted the form, your principal supervisor will receive an email requesting him or her to log in to PhD Planner to approve both your assessment committee and the statement regarding the completed PhD study
  • When your supervisor has reviewed the nominated assessment committee in PhD Planner, you will receive an email to let you know that it has been sent to the Graduate School for further processing
  • When the assessment committee has been approved by the Graduate School, you will be "bcc" on an email to the final assessment committee starting up the assessment process

How to submit earlier than 90 days before the submission date of the thesis
