Apply for approval of external courses

All PhD students have to apply for registration of external courses in PhD Planner.

Please note that it is not possible to register external courses in PhD Planner when your regular assessment is awaiting approval by your principal supervisor or the Graduate School. 

Due to technical limitations, course titles can have a maximum of 80 characters including spaces in PhD Planner. If the course title is longer, the Graduate School reserves the right to cut down the title.


What to do?

Things you need to do before you start your application:

Your application must contain:

  • a course description
  • a detailed time schedule
  • a course certificate

Start your application:

  • Log in to PhD Planner with your UCPH user account and password
  • Click on the "Activities" 
  • Click on "Add activity"
  • Select "Approval of external course" in the drop-down menu, provide the required information and submit

What happens next?

  • When the Graduate School has handled your application for an external course, you will receive an email regarding this. 

How to apply for two external courses

If you want to apply for registration of two or more external courses, please apply for registration of each course in PhD Planner separately.
