Activities that do not earn ECTS credits

Congresses, conferences and similar activities

Participation in congresses, conferences and similar activities are considered part of the dissemination activities and cannot be approved as part of the course plan. It is not possible to obtain ECTS credits or reimbursement from the Graduate School for participation in such activities.

Credit transfer and courses completed during other academic degrees

ECTS credit transfer for courses completed during another study programme (e.g. Master’s programme, Bachelor’s programme) is not possible as the ECTS credits have already contributed to the preceding degree.

Course programme exceeding 35 ECTS

If you have already taken or applied for courses corresponding to or exceeding 35 ECTS credits as part of your PhD plan, any application for further courses will be rejected.
