Partner universities

The faculty has many exchange agreements with partner universities in various countries. The partnerships include Nordplus Networks in the Nordic countries, Erasmus+ partners in Europe and bilateral partnerships with institutions overseas.

The partnerships include for instance:

  • Bilateral exchange of students at the BSc and MSc level
  • Bilateral exchange of faculty and staff

Exchange coordinators

Exchange coordinators from partner universities with inquiries about the possibility for new exchange agreements can contact the faculty's Guidance & Internationalisation's office at exchange@sund.ku.dk.

Please note we do not enter into exchange agreements for staff exchange only. We must have a sustainable exchange agreement for students in order to include staff exchange.

If you need assistance with nomination procedures, please contact the International Education's office.

Partner universities

These are the universities, where the faculty currently has exchange agreements divided according to study programme.

Students from universities with a university-wide contract with University of Copenhagen may also apply as exchange students at the faculty except for the following study programmes:

  • Dentistry
  • Medicine
  • Veterinary Medicine

The programmes require a study specific exchange agreement.

Exchange networks

The Faculty of Health and Medical Science is a member of a few different exchange networks. These networks are administered by the Guidance & Internationalisation's office.

Both Nordplus networks receive support from the Nordic Council of Ministers.

The faculty is also an active participant within Nordplus network: Medicin i Norden.

Partners Medicin i Norden include (among others):

  • Karolinska Institute
  • University of Eastern Finland
  • University of Tampere
  • Göteborg University
  • Linköping University
  • Uppsala University

Please note that we primarily accept exchange students from Nordplus partners with whom we also have an Erasmus agreement as it is very difficult to provide sufficient clinical placements in Copenhagen.

The faculty is a member of a Nordplus network for Veterinary Medicine.

Partners in this network include (among others):

  • University of Agriculture
  • Lithuanian University of Health Sciences
  • Estonian University of Life Sciences

Please note that we primarily accept exchange students from Nordplus partners with whom we also have an Erasmus agreement as it is very difficult to provide sufficient clinical placements in Copenhagen.

We are part of the ECTS Medicine Association (ECTS MA), a forum where European universities can discuss medical education and bolster exchange agreements.
