Who we are and what we do

The Graduate School is the largest of its kind in Denmark. We offer a high-quality PhD programme for PhD students who wish to obtain a PhD degree in health and medical sciences at an international level and to undertake research, development and teaching assignments in the private and public sectors.

Customer-oriented, professional and effective

Evaluations among PhD graduates show that the level of satisfaction with the Graduate School has increased steadily over the last years. We aim to be known for our customer service, and our professional and effective case handling. Therefore, we continuously work to increase the effectiveness of our work by digitalising and optimising communication and improving workflows.

Organisational structure of the Graduate School. There is a vertical line from Dean to Vice-Dean for research to Head of Graduate School to Graduate School Administration. From Head of Graduate School there are horisontal lines to Graduate Programmes , PhD Coordinators, PhD Study Board and  Supervisors. There is also a vertical line between Graduate Programmes and PhD Coordinators.

The Graduate School in numbers

  • 501 new PhD students were enrolled in 2021.
  • 1863 was the total number of enrolled PhD students by the end of 2021.
  • The division of the enrolled PhD students was 69% Danish and 31% international PhD students by the end of 2021.
