Guide for dentists educated outside of Denmark
Dentists trained outside EU/EEA must have authorisation to practise in the country.
3-step process:
1) Application
The first step is to submit your degree to the Danish Patient Safety Authority for approval.
2) Decision
The Authority will contact you once it has assessed your qualifications.
3a) Qualified
If your qualifications are approved, you may then begin the rest of the authorisation process. Only when the Authority has approved your qualifications will you be allowed to sit the medical tests.
3b) Not qualified
If the Authority does not approve your qualifications, you may wish to apply for admission to the medical degree programme. If admitted, you will be able to apply for credit transfer for study elements already passed.
