The University of Copenhagen’s Foundation for Medical Students

The purpose of the Foundation is to provide support for medical students. When allocating funds, the board emphasises 1) that the scholarship recipient is needy and 2) the grades he/she has achieved.

In addition, funding may be made available to support the scientific work of junior doctors, regardless of which university they graduated from, and for research into arthritis and cancer performed at the University of Copenhagen.

Funds are allocated to medical students on the following basis of distribution:

60% to medical students at the University of Copenhagen
27% to medical students at Aarhus University and
13% to medical students at the University of Southern Denmark.

The minimum award is DKK 8,000.
