Peter Christian Abildgaard’s and Chief Veterinarian Hans A. Madsen and Wife’s Fund*

The purpose of the Fund is to support veterinary science research and knowledge exchange (knowledge dissemination), nationally and internationally, including the distribution of author awards and support for travel and participation in symposiums for scientists and for other purposes for which public funds normally cannot be used.

Furthermore, the Fund awards a gold medal at appropriate intervals. The medal can be awarded to individuals or institutions that in a remarkable fashion have elaborated on the natural sciences that Peter Christian Abildgaard was engaged in. In addition, the medal can be awarded to individuals or institutions that in a generally recognised fashion have been engaged in disciplines within the veterinary science or are associated herewith.

The Fund does not provide support for projects or travel expenses for master’s thesis students.
