PhD counsellors
At the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, there are two PhD counsellors – one for basic research and one for clinical research. The PhD counsellors offer impartial advise to all PhD students that experience challenges during their PhD studies. PhD students are welcome to contact the PhD counsellor they prefer regardless of whether they work in basic or clinical research.

What do the PhD counsellors offer PhD students and PhD supervisors?
- Advice related to cooperation, process-related issues and well-being via emails and phone calls (during specified hours)
- Meetings (in person and online)
- Guidance on whom to contact when relevant
