Advisory and media training

At the University of Copenhagen, our advisory and media training team is available to support researchers in communicating with external audiences.

Advisory support

They help researchers who:

  • have been approached by a journalist and need guidance on handling interviews​
  • experience backlash or criticism on social media or in the public debate​
  • want to communicate about your research
  • want to create and plan a communication strategy for a project or a research group
  • want feedback on a pitch, text or similar

Courses and workshops 

They offer courses and workshops on: 

  • communicating and ‘translating’ research for a broad audience​
  • engaging with the media, whether approached by a journalist or proactively pitching a story​
  • building a professional profile and communicating on LinkedIn​
  • writing abstracts and communication plans for grant applications​

Media training

They offer media training for researchers who:

  • want to deliver clear key messages ​
  • are about to give their first radio or TV interview ​
  • feel nervous when presenting​
  • want feedback on their use of voice and body language ​
  • are giving an interview on a sensitive or critical topic and need practical tools
