PhD Supervisor Talk by Thomas Erikson - Surrounded by idiots – here is how to get rid of them (Deadline 4 October!)

This PhD Supervisor Talk is for PhD supervisors at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. Other faculty members and administrative staff members are also welcome.

Have you ever tried to argue with your team partner, and nothing went as you planned? Or in frustration left a meeting with the feeling that you didn’t understand anyone in the room? And have you noticed that some people never seem to listen - no matter how clear you are?
Communication has and will always be a challenge. A prerequisite for interacting with other people is to understand our own behavior and how it affects others. Then we can understand other people's behavior and how we should act in every given situation.

The starting point is self-awareness. The bad news: it is quite rare. The good news: it is easy to attain if one knows where to look.

Welcome to an energizing aha-experience. With the use of behavioral studies on human behaviors mixed with lots of humor, you will learn how to read people around you quickly and easily and reduce the number of meaningless misunderstandings. Discover how to save time by getting a better understanding of everyone you meet in your everyday life, while simultaneously expanding your self-awareness.
