Short description of the thesis
Chronic kidney disease affects around one in ten adults and increases the risk of heart disease and early death. Effective treatments and preventive measures exist, but many patients never receive them. This gap between evidence-based, guideline-recommended treatment and its implementation in everyday clinical practice remains a central problem in healthcare. This thesis examines whether existing digital health infrastructure in Denmark can be used to deliver simple electronic letters to patients and their general practices, to improve the use of recommended treatments and vaccination.
