Short description of the thesis:
This PhD thesis explores how phosphate, help create the local environments needed for male reproductive health. By studying phosphate transport in the epididymis, seminal vesicle, and prostate, the work reveals that these organs regulate minerals in highly specialized ways. The thesis also investigates RANKL, a signaling molecule better known for its role in bone, and shows that it contributes to maintaining normal prostate tissue. Together, the findings highlight overlooked biological pathways that may improve our understanding of male reproductive health.
