Councils, Boards and Committees
At The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences there are established a series of councils, boards and committees, which help ensure that we conduct the best possible research, offer the best possible study programmes, and constitute the best possible workplace for the faculty staff.
These faculty-level councils, boards and committees advise the Dean’s Office and the Faculty Management. In addition, advisory committees can be found at department level and at Faculty Services.
Councils and Committees
In accordance with the Articles of Association of the University of Copenhagen, each faculty has its own academic council.
The academic council focuses on research, education and knowledge exchange strategies and advises the dean on the distribution of faculty funding. In addition, the council is responsible for appointing assessment committees for assessing applications for permanent academic positions, and it awards PhD and doctoral degrees and comments on other important academic matters.
