The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences conducts research and runs study programmes in a broad spectrum of health-science disciplines such as medicine, public health, molecular biomedicine, medical engineering, nanotechnology, odontology, pharmacology and veterinary science.

The PhD programme at the Faculty lasts three years and includes an independent research project, course work, teaching or other types of knowledge dissemination, a thesis and one or more stays at a foreign research institution.
