Short description of the thesis:
Chronic mesenteric ischemia disease caused by insufficient blood supply to the intestines and may lead to severe complications if left untreated. Diagnosing clinicall y significant mesenteric artery stenosis remains challenging, as symptoms may overlap with other conditions.
This thesis investigates the role of different diagnostic methods used at various stages of care in patients undergoing endovascular treatment for superior mesenteric artery stenosis. Using a prospective design, the aim of this thesis was to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative modalities in patients with chronic mesenteric ischemia due to superior mesenteric artery stenosis.
