This year, 38 projects based at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences receive funding from the Independent Research Fund Denmark under the call “DFF-Research Project 1”.

The Independent Research Fund Denmark aims to “enhance the quality of Danish research for the benefit of society in general”, and each year, the fund supports researchers with the best and most original ideas within various subject areas.

The research projects span several disciplines within the health and medical sciences and will explore everything from the cooperation between astrocytes and neurons in the brain to biomarkers capable of predicting the risk of keel bone fractures in hens.
