DFF supports 18 innovative clinical research ideas from SUND
SUND researchers receive a share of nearly DKK 200 million from Danmarks Frie Forskningsfond for research ideas in areas that will strengthen patient-oriented research
Danmarks Frie Forskningsfond has just allocated nearly DKK 200 million to, among other things, 18 innovative ideas from SUND researchers. These funds support patient-oriented research in areas such as amputations, sleep, menstrual migraines, and infections in prematurely born infants.
The nearly 200 million Danish kroner for clinical and independent research help initiate independent and researcher-initiated experiments and studies in areas where there is limited commercial interest or opportunities for external funding, for example, from foundations.
In total, 295 applications were submitted, and research funding was awarded to 62 projects at hospitals and universities across the country, including 17 for SUND. Each of the original research ideas received between approximately DKK 2.2 - 4.3 million Danish kroner, and the research projects typically span over 3 - 4.5 years.
See all of the research projects here.
