PhD Course: Innovation - from research to business in health sciences 2024
The PhD course trains young scientists in research commercialization through a series of inspirational and thematic talks combined with team exercises. Using scientific papers that have been the foundation of real spinouts, the teams will have to create an investor’s pitch to present and defend in front of a panel of investors their research commercialization plan using all the tools and knowledge they have gained during the course.

Aim
The PhD course is aiming to train young scientists in research-based innovation through a series of inspirational and thematic talks combined with team exercises. Content
Team creation, Ideation, Proof-of-Concept experiments, Market analysis, Business plan, Go-to-market Strategy, Intellectual property, Regulatory Affairs, Investments and funding, Company pitching.
Participants
The course is for PhD students at all levels with a natural interest and curiosity in innovation and research commercialization within the field of health and medical sciences, with a focus on therapeutics and medtech. The course does not require prior experience with innovation or research commercialization. Students with prior experience can, however, also benefit greatly from the course.
