Frailty and Falls Implantable System for Prediction and Prevention

Project acronym: FFallS Predictor

FFallS Predictor will improve healthcare and support active ageing by reducing recurring falls in elderly people and reverse modifiable risks by alerting users early via personalised interventions. This project will use untapped capabilities of an implantable device to monitor gait variability and posture related changes in fallers coupled with cardiac parameters, such as heart rate, rhythm and variability to create an ‘early changes in physiological factors' profile that triggers a fall.
