About PEP

The Symposium is taking place as a part of the long-term, international programme Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP). Since 2022, PEP has brought together key stakeholders working to strengthen the capacity of institutions educating health professionals and building the health workforce of the future.

The growing burden of cardiometabolic diseases (CMDs) places new demands on the competences of health professionals in prevention, diagnosis and care. Today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape offers unique opportunities for educators and institutions to enhance the learning experiences of their health workforce, making education more accessible, engaging and contextualised, and paving the way for a more fit-for-purpose health workforce which can meet growing healthcare demands.

PEP is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF24SA0100216).
