How to write your research year project

Your research year must be completed with a written material e.g. journal article, report, manuscript, master thesis or prize paper. You should discuss with your supervisor which would be the most suitable product.

The research year report must include

  • A description of the project's goal together with a thorough account of both the methods used and the results obtained.
  • A discussion of the results in the context of the project's goal and any relevant literature.
  • A discussion of the potential for further examination of the study, such as use of new methods or approaches.

The length of the report is approximately 15 pages or 6,000 characters.

Journal article or manuscript

Submit your research year report as a prize paper

  • University of Copenhagen advertises a number of prize papers every year.
  • If you submit your research year report as a prize paper, you cannot obtain a credit transfer for a bachelor or master thesis as well.
