Professor Hans H. Wandall Receives ERC Consolidator Grant

ERC CONSOLIDATOR GRANT

Professor Hans H. Wandall has just received the prestigious ERC Consolidator Grant. The desirable EU grant is a five-year grant awarded to researchers who have produced excellent research within their field.


Complex glycans, genome editing and vaccine techniques are just some of the areas Hans H. Wandall has touched on during his versatile research career. Through ambitious publications and a series of attractive prizes and grants Professor Hans H. Wandall from the Center for Glycomics has made a name for himself within his field.

Now he can add another grant to the list, as he has just received the prestigious ERC Consolidator Grant.

"I am both proud and pleased with the recognition of our subject area reflected by the ERC grant. The grant is a unique opportunity to focus and strengthen our research. It will undoubtedly help us in our efforts to better understand how carbohydrates affect our cellular machinery. It is our main goal that it will pave the way for new and more precise treatment strategies

Professor Hans Wandall

The grant is targeted at researchers with seven to 12 years’ experience. The objective is to help the researchers consolidate their position within their research area and gradually build a successful career for themselves in Europe. The grant aims to strengthen independent and excellent research and is targeted at researchers who have already produced excellent research within their field. 

The ERC Consolidator Grant consists of up to EUR two million over five years. Read more about the grant here
