Course and Course Package Information for Exchange Students in Medicine


Please note:

  • The Faculty's clinical courses are offered to exchange students from partner universities only.
  • The courses are offered in English and are organised into course packages.
  • The Faculty does not offer internship or postgraduate clinical training. 
  • The Faculty is unable to arrange additional clinical electives in English.

Course Package I

Internal Medicine I and Surgery I

Internal Medicine I and Surgery I consist of two blocks of study, lasting six weeks each. The courses are taught in English.  ECTS for the module is provided in the official transcript of academic records.

A maximum of four exchange students are admitted per semester. The courses provide a basic clinical training in the 1st semester (first year) of the Master's programme in Medicine.

Course Package II

Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Anaesthesiology

Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Anaesthesiology consists of three blocks of study, lasting 12 weeks in total. The courses are taught in English. 17.5 ECTS for the module is provided in the official transcript of academic records.

A maximum of four exchange students are admitted per semester. The courses provide clinical training in the 2nd semester (first year) of the Master's Programme in Medicine and qualify students to take part in internship courses (pre-registrar) on graduation.

Course Package III

Ophthalmology
Oto-Rhino-Laryngology
Dermatology-Venerology

These courses run concurrently, with teaching in all three subjects, followed by oral compulsory exams. Each course/exam gives 5 ECTS points.

A maximum of 15 exchange students are admitted per semester. The courses are offered during the 3rd semester (second year) of the Master's programme in Medicine and form part of the clinical training for medical students.
