Entrepreneurship at the Faculty

meeting in progress

The University of Copenhagen distinguishes itself internationally as a centre for health innovation, where everyone with the talent, dedication and ambition to make a difference can find support and collaborators with whom to realize ideas.

In 2005, the University of Copenhagen was chosen as the Entrepreneurial University of the year, and in 2010 the university had more than 300 research contracts with businesses. Cooperation and innovative thinking across all sectors are necessary if the health challenges facing society are to be met.

Copenhagen Health Innovation is a good example of one of these interdisciplinary partnerships. It involves the University of Copenhagen, the Technical University of Denmark, Copenhagen Business School, the Capital region, the municipality of Copenhagen and the Metropolitan University College, all of which are cooperating on a number of educations and projects in the field of prevention and treatment.

The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences supports innovation in education and offers a range of health science educations and courses for students who are interested in entrepreneurship. If a student has a good idea or just wants to get a taste of what it is like to be an entrepreneur, UCPH Innovation Hubs help with everything, from the initial idea to finding business partners.
